A Wispr Flow alternative that runs on your phone.

Same idea: a bubble over your keyboard that turns messy talk into clean text. Different engine: the AI runs on the phone. Works offline. No account. Free during the beta.

Android 7.0 and up. No sign-up. No word limit.

Great idea. Needs the cloud.

Wispr Flow's Android bubble is a great idea. But every word goes to its servers first. Wispr says it plainly: "Transcription always occurs on the cloud" (source). No signal means no dictation, and you need an account before you say a word.

KisuKisu does the same job on the phone itself. The speech model and the cleanup AI download once. After that, your voice stays where it is.

Why people switch

Works offline

Plane, train, basement, bad signal. It works the same, because nothing needs a server.

No account, no limit

Install and talk. No sign-up, no card, no weekly word count. Free during the beta.

Learns your words

Got a name wrong? Tap it, type it once, and it's learned. Import names from your contacts. All kept on the phone.

Where Wispr Flow is ahead

Straight answers. Wispr Flow is a polished product, and for some people it's the better pick.

  • It's everywhere you work. Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android, on one account (source). KisuKisu is Android only for now.
  • More languages. Wispr Flow supports 100+ languages (source). KisuKisu is best in English today.
  • No big download. The cloud does the heavy lifting, so there's no model to store. KisuKisu downloads about 0.3 to 1 GB once, sized to your phone.
  • More extras. Pro adds AI commands, Snippets and Styles, and there's a meeting notetaker on desktop (source).
  • It's public. Wispr Flow is out on Android now (source). KisuKisu is in a free beta on Google Play, by invite.

Questions

Is KisuKisu really free?

Yes. It's free during the beta, with no account, no card and no weekly word limit. There's nothing to buy in the app.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The speech model and the cleanup AI download once, then run on your phone. After that it works in airplane mode. Wispr Flow needs a connection for every dictation.

Do I need to make an account?

No. Install it, allow the microphone, and talk. There's no sign-up and no login.

Is it like Wispr Flow's bubble?

The idea is the same: a bubble over your keyboard in any app. Tap it to talk, or hold it and let go to send. The difference is where the work happens: on your phone, not on a server.

Will it run on my phone?

If your phone has Android 7.0 or newer, very likely. KisuKisu checks your phone's memory and free space first, then picks models that fit: about 1 GB on phones with 6 GB of RAM or more, about 0.3 to 0.4 GB on smaller phones.

Can I still use a cloud model if I want to?

Yes, but it's off by default. In Settings you can connect your own key for a cloud provider such as OpenAI, Groq or Anthropic. If you never do, nothing is sent anywhere.

How do I get KisuKisu?

It's in a free beta on Google Play. Fill in the short form with the Google account you use in the Play Store, and we add you within a day.
